If you're experiencing low flow rate at the pump or noticing corrosion inside the dispenser, it could be a sign of fuel contamination. Underground storage tank fuel contamination can cause some very serious problems. It dramatically reduces dispensing rates at the pump and eats away at steel tanks and other metal components.
Our Process
The FUELCARE system rids USGT fuel from contaminants by using high volume to both process fuel and clean the tank. Our
efficient system relies on a combination of bag and cartridge filters
to remove solid and biological contaminates from the fuel. We then extract
the water and other large solids from the fuel using a centrifuge/filter
separator. Our equipment uses a unique combination of filtration media
and high velocity to thoroughly clean the tank and filter the fuel.
Best of all, it works fast, so your pumps will experience minimal down
time.
More Efficient Pumps with the FUELCARE System
Time is money when it comes to operating
your pumps. The costs are significant when your fuel is discharging
at even half the normal rate. Customers get angry. Sales slow down.
And the root of these problems are fuel contaminants that are not even
visible to the eye.
Microorganisms
Live in Fuel
Microbes that feed on fuel live in the dirt and water found in underground fuel tanks. The contamination they create can foul your entire fuel system. You can trust FUELCARE's fuel filtration system to clean tanks, filter fuel, and remove contaminants in your under ground storage tanks.
Maintenance Checklist
You can reduce the chance of future problems by following FUELCARE's preventive maintenance program.
Well
work with you to develop a biocide treatment schedule, which when used
consistently, will control harmful microbes in your underground tanks.
To maintain peak
fuel performance and keep your pumps running smoothly, we recommend
you do the following:
- Check the
flow rate at the dispenser. The rate should be approximately 9gpm. If the flow rate is significantly below this, then:
- Check Your
Fuel Filters. They provide early warning signs of contamination
in the fuel tank.
- Keep water
out of fuel. Water is the host environment of the microorganisms
that cause fuel contamination.
- Determine
which way the tank "tilts" or if it is flat. Check for
water at the deep end of the tank.
- Keep water
and other contaminants out of the fill pipe contaminant sump.
Liquids left in the sump often end up in the tank.
- Regularly
treat your tank with biocide. A fuel soluble biocide is needed
to control microbial contamination in fuel tanks.
