Protect Your Vessel with the FUELCARE System

Contaminated fuel causes filter plugging and can cause engines to shut down. This can be extremely hazardous–putting you and your vessel in great danger. Clean tanks and treated fuel protect you and your vessel from such hazards, much like a safety vest can protect your life.

Check for Warning Signs
The following symptoms are warning signs of contaminated fuel:
  Frequent need to change filters
  Clogged filters
  Coffee ground-type sediments in filters
  Milky, cloudy appearance to fuel
  Engine is starved for fuel
Engine shuts down in rough water

Our Process

The FUELCARE system eliminates problems caused by the accumulation of sludge, algae, rust, water and biological contaminants in marine fuel tanks.

You’ll save time with our efficient mobile service designed especially for marine use. FUELCARE comes right to your dock, so you don’t have to go anywhere. Using our high pressure, high volume system, we’ll clean your fuel tank quickly and efficiently. We’ll remove water and other contaminants from your fuel, returning the cleaned fuel to your tank.

Maintenance Checklist

To maintain peak fuel performance and to avoid costly repairs, we recommend you do the following:
Check fuel filters regularly. They provide early warning signs of contamination in the fuel tank.
Keep water out of fuel. Water is the host environment of the microorganisms that contaminate fuel.
Replace fuel fill O-rings. Change annually to prevent the entry of water.
Use biocide regularly. Biocide kills microorganisms that contaminate fuel. We recommend Biobor JF. Note: If used in a vehicle, Biobor JF is registered for off-road applications only.
Carry extra filters. Be prepared! Don’t get caught without extra filters during a bad fuel emergency.

You can reduce the chance of future problems by following Fuelcare’s preventive maintenance program. We’ll work with you to develop a biocide treatment schedule, which when used consistently, will control harmful microbes in your tank.
